CITY OF SAINT JOHN - PROXIM WIRELESS
The City of Saint John wanted to install SCADA and use the Remote Terminal Units (RTU) to control and monitor the water and wastewater systems. They also wanted to provide a high speed wireless backhaul system throughout the city that would be reliable and secure. By using Proxim Tsunami.GX, Shadcomm was able to offer the city a full-duplex point-to-point IP wireless Ethernet bridge that provided secure and reliable wireless technology to transfer data. Apart from security for data backhaul, the cost-effective Tsunami.GX also provided high bandwidth and ease of deployment.

 

CITY OF SAINT JOHN - Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition System (SCADA)
Shadcomm Ltd was awarded a project for the Supply and Installation of New RTU (Remote Terminal Units) and a complete wireless communications system for the City of Saint John early in 2007. This project involved the installation of several 150ft CSA communications Towers, Fiberglass equipment building, and the design, construction, testing, and installation of PLC Panels at a total of 84 Locations.

 

UPM KYMMENE - MIRAMICHI - DH+ to Controllogix Ethernet Gateway Upgrade
Shadcomm Ltd was awarded a project for the Supply and Installation of a new Network, and Monitoring system for the Water Treatment and Effluent systems at UPM. This involved the addition of Controllogix Gateways at all PLC5 processor locations, and the installation of a complete fiber optic backbone around the entire plant.

 

NB POWER BELLEDUNE GENERATING STATION - Continuous Ship Unloader (CSU) Control System Upgrade
As Shadcomm Ltd’s largest Industrial control project to date, the Belledune CSU project served as a stepping stone from the municipal to the industrial sector. This project required the complete replacement of the existing Obsolete Mitsubishi Control System, with an ultra modern Allen Bradley Controllogix System.
